Radon Gas Sampling Testing: In non-Real Estate transactions two short-term detectors are exposed at the same time and in the same location. Duplicate detectors are used because the decision to mitigate will be based upon this single test and it is critical that there be good confidence in the measurement result to determine the level of Radon Gas. Additional canisters are $50.00 each.

Biological

Mold Limited Sampling Testing: The purpose of limited mold sampling, performed by an IAQ Specialist, is to detect the presence of mold contamination in "client-defined" areas of the home. This service provides a fast and economical method of testing. The limitation of this method is that other sources of mold may be present in the home. Testing is based on the collection of two air samples (one indoor and one outdoor) to detect the presence of microbial contamination in a "client-defined" area. Price includes 2 samples, photographs and lab report. Additional samples are $125.00 each.

Mold Screen Inspection and Testing: This mold inspection and sampling service, performed by an IAQ Specialist , utilizes a visual assessment and inspection of one "red flag" area for mold. Testing is based on the collection of two air samples (one indoor and one outdoor) and either a surface sample or second indoor sample, to detect the presence of microbial contamination  If  two or more "red flag" areas are found, the client will be advised and offered the option for additional sampling in those areas. This service is the most popular for real estate transactions. Price includes 3 samples, inspection, photographs and lab report. Additional samples are $125.00 each.

Mold Survey Inspection and Testing: The value of this service is that it identifies, determines cause and provides corrective measures for all mold sources discovered in "red flag" area(s). The purpose of this detailed level of service, performed by an IAQ Specialist, is to detect the presence of a microbial problem in all readily accessible "red flag"area(s) of the subject property. The process follows prescribed protocols (testing methods) and the collection of appropriate data elements to enable a Mold Remediation Protocol Specification Report to be written. The mount of additional samples required will be determined during the inspection and only taken with customer approval.  Price includes 3 samples, inspection, photographs, drawings and lab report. Additional samples are $125.00 each.

Mold Remediation Protocol and Specification Report :The Mold Remediation Protocol and Specfication Report is a document that will describe the scope of the project, provided necessary information and the protocols to be followed for proper remediation buy a professional remediation company as written by the IAQ Specialist. This document is used by the client to secure quotes and offers instructions and guidelines for the professional remediation company to follow. $ 595.00

Mold Post Remediation Cleaning Verification Testing: PRV testing is designed to determine the effectiveness of remediation efforts and to document the absence of microbial problems and debris removal before restoration begins. The nature and extent of the sampling is directed by an IAQ Specialist as part of the remediation plan prescribed for the property. PRV testing is conducted within the remedial area(s) after remediation efforts have been completed . Testing is based on the collection of one indoor surface swab, tape or carpet sample and the collection of two air samples (one indoor and one outdoor) to detect the presence of microbial contamination in those specific area(s) that were identified as having mold. This service provides a method by established protocols to determine the success in the removal of mold in those affected area(s). Verification letter add $125.00

Mold Post Remediation Clearance Verification Testing: PRV testing is designed to determine the effectiveness of remediation efforts and to document the absence of microbial problems and debris removal before restoration begins. The nature and extent of the sampling is directed by an IAQ Specialist as part of the remediation plan prescribed for the property. PRV testing is conducted within the intact containment area(s) after remediation efforts have been completed. Verification letter add $125.00.

Allergen (ELISA)Testing: The purpose of sampling, performed by an IAQ Specialist, is to collect samples for lab analysis and to determine what type of allergen is present. To assess the type of allergen in the home, a dust sample is collected from a carpet/rug, couch/sofa or a mattress. Testing is based on the collection of one "Dust Sample" for an (ELISA) Screen test to determine the specific allergen type and quantities for cat, dog, cockroach and dust mites allergens. Additional dust samples are $245.00 each. Testing samples for a specific allergen: cat, dog, cockroach, dust mites, mice or rats are $270.00 each. Additional dust samples are $145.00 each.

Mold (ERMI) Testing: The sampling process, performed by an IAQ Specialist, in most cases is dust from the carpets in the house. Carpet dust acts as a reservoir for mold spores and is more representative of mold levels over a period of time versus short term air samples. The samples are analyzed for the presence of 36 species of mold using the unique DNA signature of each mold species. The 36 molds are divided into two groups. The first group is comprised of species typically found in water damaged homes and the second group contains common indoor molds found in all homes. Testing is based on the collection of a single sample of dust from two primary living areas (rooms) for testing to evaluate the potential risk of indoor mold growth and associated health effects. Additional dust samples are $525.00 each.

Bacteria

Bacteria Inspection and Testing: There are many types of common bacteria that an IAQ Specialist can test for. Sampling methods used are swaps, wipes, air samples (agar plates) and special liquid collection containers depending on the specific bacteria and conditions encountered. Types of bacteria tested for include; Legionella Bacteria, Salmonella Bacteria, Coliform Bacteria (Escherichia coliform (E. coli)), Staphylococcus ("Staph"), Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile (C. difficile or C.diff), Listeria (Listeriosis) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. (Please call for more details and pricing)

Sewage Clearance: This service, performed by an IAQ Specialist, is to determine if there is evidence of sewage or septic system backups into the structure basement or crawl space areas below the structure. Typical sampling methods to test for sewage contamination in buildings include sterile swabs on sample surfaces in affected areas and a control area. Soil and water samples are usually taken as well. Types of bacteria of note are Escherichia coliform (E. coli) and Enterococcus. (Please call for more details and pricing)

Volatile Organics Compounds

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Testing: There are many types of VOCs in the air that come from many different sources both natural and man-made. VOCs are in the air outside and come from things like manufacturing facilities, refineries and engine emissions and others are within a home and come from, perfumed soaps, cleaners, adhesives, paints, solvents, treated woods, laminates, carpets and wall coverings. The sampling method(s) used are special collection canisters. VOCs tesed for, by an IAQ Specialist, include a wide range of individual substances, such as hydrocarbons (i.e. benzene), halocarbons and oxygenates.  Specific examples of VOCs we test for include; Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Sulfur Dioxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Formaldehyde, Ethylene Oxide, Chlorine, Hydrogen Cyanide, Toluene, Ozone, Ammonia, Hydrogen Sulfide and others (Please call for more details and pricing).
